It is a matter of great pleasure and profound satisfaction to me that the B.A. (Semester) Admission prospectus is being released by the college. The time will come for the students to take admission in the B.A. classes in the best institution they opt for. Jaleswar College is the only Higher Education institution in the remote area of Goalpara District which caters the needs of the poor and downtrodden students. The college has made rapid progress in the field of higher education. In the age of globalization and promotion of excellence in the academic contributions, the importance and value of quality education need to be emphasized. It is necessary that we should change with the time and develop ourselves in all respects to face the challenge of time. I remind few lines of the poem „The Professor‟ by Nissim Ezekiel,
“We have to change with times. Whole world is changing. In India also We are keeping up. Our progress is progressing. Old values are going, new values are coming. Everything is happening with leaps and bounds.” Jaleswar College promises to develop the knowledge of the aspirant students who will take admission in this college. My only vision is to empower the students and to motivate them to accommodate themselves to the changing needs of present time. With this vision I
have been serving in this college as a principal since 1991. I am very glad to inform that the College has been affiliated to Gauhati University in the year 1996 and accorded permanent affiliation in the year 2012 and also obtained UGC affiliation under 2(f) & 12(b). At last but not the least I offer my best wishes to the students who are aspiring to take admission in our college. I pay my warm regard to the Hon‟ble Mr. Afzalur Rahman (Ex–Minister, Assam), well-wishers, faculty members as well as office staff of our college for extending their co-operation.
