LIBRARY FACILITIES

Library is one of the most vital parts of an academic institution. Our college maintains a well stocked library with a collection of about 10,000 copies of texts, references and general books. Besides a number of Journals, Periodicals and Newspapers are subscribed regularly and kept in the library for the use of students and staff. The library has provided an attached reading room for students and teachers.

LIBRARY CARD

Each student is issued two library cards from which he/she can borrow one book against card. Students should return the books within 15 days from the date of issue. If anybody fails to return the books in time, he/she will have to pay a fine of 50 paisa per day up to 15 days and thereafter Rs. 1.00 per day. A student will be personally responsible for the loss or damage of any book borrowed. Students must abide by the rules and regulations of the library for the greater interest of the college.

Girls’ Hostel


The Swami Yogananda Giri College has a RCC Girls’ Hostel within the college boundary funded by UGC 12th Plan Grant. It is equipped with all modern facilities.

Canteen


The Swami Yogananda Giri College has a RCC Assam type canteen within the college boundary established by its own source.

Indoor Stadium


The Swami Yogananda Giri College has a RCC Indoor Stadium within the college boundary funded by UGC 12th Plan Grant. It is equipped with all modern sports facilities like Badminton, Carom, equipments for physical exercise, gallery or lounge along with drinking water and toilet facilities.

Poor Aid Fund


One of the visions of the college is to provide higher education to the rural unreached or economically poor section of the society. The Swami Yogananda Giri College itself was established in such a area where majority of the population belong are very poor. Therefore, keeping in mind this thing since the very beginning of the college, the college authority enunciated the “Poor Aid Fund” in order to help the admitted very poor students.
